Every 10th level after level 1 the Pilot needs to be promoted to a new Rank. To promote a Pilot, gold must be spent.

 

Each subsequent promotion costs more gold than the previous rank-up.

 

Each promotion allows the Pilot to learn a new random ability (a maximum of 7) linked to the current equipped vehicle. Legendary Pilots have an extra Unique Ability.
