While you're in the garage, tap on your username. This will take you to your profile page.

At the Profile Screen, next to your username, you will be able to find a pencil icon. By tapping this icon a small pop-up will appear that allows you to type in a new name and country flag of your choice. Use the Confirm button to apply any changes.
